Explore St. Louis

Where Bud is Born

You may not get your own Clydesdale to take home like this lucky visitor, but you can get a free tour of the historic Anheuser-Busch Brewery complex, where they began brewing some of America’s favorite beverages in 1852. You can see the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the Beechwood Aging Cellars, high-speed packaging lines and much more. Guests 21 or older may try complimentary samples of A-B products in the Hospitality Room at tour’s end. And for true beer-ophiles, there’s the even more extensive St. Louis Beermaster Tour, which at $25 for adults and $10 children 13-20, is totally worth it: you get to taste hops and sample directly from a finishing tank, for crying out loud. Reservations required for the Beermaster Tour. Call 314.577.2626 for a last-minute opening. Want even more beer? Ask about the Beer School. Tour hours: M-Sa 10am-4pm, Su 11:30am-4pm. Reservations requested.
