Cinema St. Louis Announces Films for the 2020 Classic French Film Festival

"Olivia," "India Song" and "Rider on the Rain" stream in Missouri and Illinois July 17-23.

Three films are on the bill for Cinema St. Louis' Classic French Film Festival.

The film festival will stream Jacqueline Audry's Olivia (1951), Marguerite Duras' India Song (1975) and René Clément's Rider on the Rain (1970) from July 17-23.

Although the films are being presented digitally, they'll still be accompanied with recorded introductions by and post-film discussions with film or French scholars and critics. "Olivia" is newly restored and presented in black & white. The rarely seen "India Song" and "Rider on the Rain," celebrating its golden anniversary, are in color.

All films are in French with English subtitles. They will available on demand from July 17-23. Once a viewing begins watching a film, it is available for 24. Streaming is limited to Missouri and Illinois.

Individual tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for Cinema St. Louis members and students. All-access passes are also available. Click here for additional details.
