Museu Paulista

Also known as Museu do Ipiringa, this was built as a monument to Brazil’s independence in 1822, a historic building with exhibits spanning 400 years of the nation’s history. The imposing colonnaded building houses many thousands of paintings, sculptures, clothing and archives, plus original photographs belonging to Alberto Santos Dumont which document family life. Open Tue-Sun 9am-5pm.
