Bazaar Del Mundo

For more than 40 years, Diane Powers’ Bazaar del Mundo has endured as one of San Diego’s most beloved tourist destinations. Fashion Valley

There are shopping malls and there are shopping empires. Fashion Valley holds sway as San Diego’s premier shopping destination, with five department stores—including Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s—and 200 shops and restaurants. If Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Burberry are too pricey for your pocketbook, Fashion Valley has all the usual suspects as well, from Abercrombie to Zara. Flower Hill Promenade

Westfield UTC

This sprawling open-air mall features three major department stores (Nordstrom, Macy’s, Sears) and more than 145 shops and eateries—including a two-story Crate & Barrel. Commissioned artwork includes a dolphin-themed play fountain for children.
