There’s so much to see and do around town. Like to hike? Pick a trail! Ready for a romantic meal? There are lots of worthy restaurants. But there are also plenty of other wow ideas for date night fun.
Solve a Puzzle
Can you and your other half work together to solve enough clues in under an hour to “escape the room?” The Valley boasts a number of places where you can try. These “escape rooms” are all themed, and allow guests 60 minutes to find and solve all the clues in a room to reach the end of the game. Try Escape the Room AZ, Phoenix Escape Room, Lockdown Escape Rooms and Gilbert Escape Room, amongst others.
Connect with nature at Desert Botanical Garden, which boasts 4,379 species in its Living Collection. Stroll through the paths and admire the unique plants, flowers and cacti, and finish the trip with lunch at Gertrude’s.
At the Japanese Friendship Garden, explore an authentic 3.5-acre Japanese Stroll Garden, complete with a tea garden and tea house. While the garden is open Tuesday through Sunday, tea ceremonies are held only the third Saturday of each month.
Go to New Heights
Take your relationship to new heights—literally—when you float over the desert in a hot air balloon. An excursion with Hot Air Expeditions includes gourmet cuisine post-flight, while a trip with Rainbow Ryders offers mimosas and other food or drink, depending on the experience booked.
Paint the Town
If you’re ready to get creative, try Pinspiration, a Pinterest-inspired DIY art studio and makerspace. Here, choose from a variety of projects to craft, from signs to acrylic art to dreamcatchers to wall-mounted beer openers. There’s even a splatter room. The locale also offers wines, brews and some snacks.
At three Topgolf locations around the area, choose from fun or competitive golf games, all in climate-controlled playing bays. Televisions, food and drinks round out the fun. If racing adventures are more your speed, head to Octane Raceway for high-speed kart racing over an indoor/outdoor track. The locale also offers the first free-roam multiplayer virtual reality arena to open in the Western U.S.
