The Best Summer Pop-Up Bars in Paris

Ephemeral bars never offered such great views in the French city.

Take in the summer breeze while enjoying a cocktail or two at some of the city's most exclusive pop-up bars.

Eiffel Tower

Popping up in the French capital is Le Bar à Ciel Ouvert by Krug at the Shangri-La Hotel where you can take in a beautiful Parisian sunset with a flute of Krug champagne and the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop.

The best seat in the city to offer a breathtaking view of Paris’s most famous monument is right here on the terrace of one of the hotel’s luxurious suites where the pop-up bar is calling home until 26 August. Open from 6 to 11pm every evening, the bar accommodates 16 on the terrace and 14 in the suite, making an evening here feel like quite the exclusive soirée in Paris.

Le Bar à Ciel Ouvert by Krug will be the hot ticket for 14 July when fireworks at the Eiffel Tower help celebrate Bastille Day. Champagne, caviar and a front row seat to the Eiffel Tower twinkling like a jewel makes this an exceptionally unforgettable evening in the City of Light, it is advised to make reservations as soon as you land in the city. The Jardin Suspendu

Last winter the Royal Monceau welcomed guests in their Belvedere Vodka Jardin d’Hiver complete with a snow-filled forest décor, and this summer the collaboration is back bringing guests a season-appropriate pop-up patio bar with their Jardin Suspendu.

The hanging garden ephemeral bar surrounds guests with a perfectly hung floral arrangement around the intimate table that accommodates up to six people at a time. Special cocktails have of course been created and can be enjoyed at anytime of the day with different cocktails created for lunch and dinner and even for teatime with an alcoholic twist. The Bento box lunch and finger food dinner menus have been put together by the world-famous chef Nobu Matsuhisa while Pierre Hermé desserts can be savoured in the afternoon. Reservations are advised. Mumm Champagne Bar

With the city heating up the best way to cool down is with a frozen cocktail on a rooftop bar. This summer Hôtel Raphael plays host to the ephemeral Mumm Champagne Bar on its famous rooftop terrace, making sure you cool down in the most luxurious way possible.

Open through until September, the bar serves the Mumm Rosé Icetail, a cocktail created just for the summer, mixing champagne sorbet, fresh fruit and rosé Champagne. Open daily from 4pm, the bar is the perfect setting to admire a beautiful sunset and one of the best views of Paris. Hôtel Raphael, 17 ave Kléber (16th), Paris,
