Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival Returns

The annual festival brings the best of Palm Beach foods together for one weekend.

The Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival is back for its 15th year from December 8-11. This year’s lineup features internationally known names, including celebrity chefs from Bravo, the Food Network and Netflix, along with a variety of fantastic culinary talent.

A Look at the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival

“This year, the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival will celebrate its 15th year as one of the country’s most prestigious and delectable culinary getaways,” David Sabin, founder of the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival, told us. “Held at the quintessential Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and at select locations on the island of Palm Beach and beyond, the festival showcases some of the world’s most renowned chefs and wine industry leaders through a collection of dinners, tastings, seminars, and more. It’s held at a time when South Florida experiences its best weather of the year. It’s an allure that keeps even the most discerning gourmands coming back each year to experience this palatable festival.”

The event has a wide variety of fantastic foodie events scheduled, including several wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, lunches and dinners. “This year, we’re also thrilled to add a few names to our roster, including stand-out chefs like Rodney Scott of “BBQ Brawl” and “Chef’s Table BBQ,” as well as Ben Robinson of “Below Deck,” Sabin explained. “We’re very pleased to have the Grand Tasting return to the Palm Beach County Convention Center for the first time since 2019, which has booked over 50 participating restaurants, including The SoSo, Prezzo, Driftwood, Ember Grill, and Savor, serving plentiful dishes and dessert samplings, as well as wine and spirit tastings from distributors, vineyards and more. The annual Grand Chef Throwdown is also back, hosted by Mo & Sally and Jay Cashmere, welcoming three local chefs as they compete for the $10,000 local charity prize presented by Creekstone Farms. The competition features a special lineup of celebrity guest judges: chefs Maneet Chauhan, Robert Irvine, and Marc Murphy.”

While food and wine festivals are widespread throughout the country (and the world), the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival has withstood the tests of time with a special formula that serves the masses. “We pride ourselves in having a lineup that offers something for everyone—even kids,” Sabin told us. “If you’re looking to experience the best of the Palm Beaches, these events will give you quite the introduction. Our goal is to keep things interesting and continue to enhance our returning events, and bring fresh new offerings to the table. It’s also a testament to the Festival when we have loyal partners such as renowned chef Daniel Boulud in our corner. We are humbled to work with him and his team, including Dieter Samijn and Julie Franceschini, as part of the DANIEL & FRIENDS brunch, an enticing signature walk-around tasting event drawing guests year after year. In fact, this year, they’re celebrating their 11th year with PBFWF!”

This year will have some new inclusions for foodies to enjoy. “We’re so excited to have longtime friends Pushkar Marathe and Niven Patel collaborate at Pushkar’s newly opened Ela Curry Kitchen for LUNCH AT ELA, a three-course seated lunch,” Sabin said. “They have cooked side by side for many years and will create an authentic Indian feast that will not disappoint! Tickets are also still available to the new SMOKE & SUNSHINE, A CRAFT BBQ MEAT-UP, a jam-packed afternoon where Pitmasters & Chefs John Bates, Hector Garate, Andy Knudson, Elliot Moss and Esaul Ramos will join Tropical Smokehouse’s Rick Mace for the inaugural Craft Barbecue Meat-Up including live music and cocktails.”

Another event that’s already gained plenty of attention is brand new for 2022. “Although already sold out, A SHABBAT DINNER is new to our roster this year,” Sabin told us. “Featuring Chef Michael Hackman and guest chefs Lior Lev Sercarz and Daniel Serfer, the team will curate an elevated Shabbat dinner including traditional, but not strictly Kosher dishes, beautifully paired with wine. For those interested in possibly securing seats to sold-out events, they can also sign up for updates through event waitlists that we have in place.”
