Fall-tastic Festivals in Central Florida

From authentic Oktoberfest festivities to winding corn mazes and Florida wines, these festivals in Central Florida celebrate the best of the season.

Nothing says fall quite like working your way through a corn maze, picking out the perfect pumpkin for an afternoon carving session or sipping on a glass of wine fresh from the source. In Central Florida, seasonal festivals offer all of this and more amidst warm autumn temperatures and bright sunshine.

Fall Focused Festivals

Long & Scott Farms Corn Maze: Opens October 2, 2018. Weave through an intricately designed 7-acre corn maze at Long & Scott Farms, a working farm 35 minutes northwest of Orlando. This fall favorite has come a long way from its humble beginnings 15 years ago. Activities now include two corn mazes, a permanent tree maze and rope maze, a 60-foot super slide, a large fort-style playground, hayrides on the Sweet Corn Express and more. The star of the show remains the large maze, with past designs including the State of Liberty, the Fresh from Florida emblem and various homages to our first responders and military. Pack a family picnic to enjoy after you’ve worked up an appetite in the maze.

Partin Ranch Corn Maze – Opens October 2018. Navigate your way through multiple corn mazes, pick out the perfect fall pumpkin and embark on a hayride all in one place. Just 45 minutes from Orlando, the Partin Ranch Corn Maze features a 5-acre maze, hayrides and combine harvester rides, ranch animals, and a pumpkin patch. The maze is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park, so combine the two for the perfect fall in Florida day trip.

Oktoberfests

Sanford Oktoberfest: October 12 – 14, 2018. Revered as Central Florida’s most authentic Oktoberfest celebration, Sanford’s legendary Oktoberfest will transport you straight to Munich. The fun begins October 11, 2018 with an Oktoberfest-themed Alive After 5, a monthly street party in Historic Downtown Sanford.

Adorn yourself with an authentic Oktoberfest costume (a dirndl for the ladies and lederhosen for the fellas) from Hollerbach’s Outfitters before heading to Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café and Magnolia Square Market, a German deli and the central hub of activity. Sip a Das Boot–a glass boot filled with German beer—as you enjoy live entertainment and German fare. Prost!

Crooked Can Oktoberfest: October 19 – 21, 2018. Head to Winter Garden’s iconic Plant Street Market, an indoor-outdoor food market and brewery, for a family-friendly celebration of the German tradition. Now in its 4th year, the three-day fest includes live authentic entertainment, German fare including brauts and sausages, German-style craft beers brewed on site, a Weiner dog race, stein holding competition and more.

Foodie Fests

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 30 – November 12, 2018. Boasting four annual festivals, Epcot is Central Florida’s epicenter for year-round celebrations. During the warm fall months, feast and sip your way around the world during the annual International Food and Wine Festival. New experiences for 2018 include an all-new mimosa bar, a fresh lineup of culinary creations and demos, and a Junior Chef Kitchen.

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic: October 26-27, 2018. Indulge your senses (especially your tastebuds) at the beloved Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic. This annual event for foodies transforms the resort’s causeway into a destination for culinary exploration, featuring cuisine from the resort’s restaurants and chefs, celebrity chef Todd English among them. Sample to your heart’s content and explore themed areas like The Bubble Lounge and The Pig & The Poke, the latter of which is new for 2018.
