Orlando has become a top destination for food travel in the autumn months, thanks to the wildly popular Epcot International Food and Wine Festival at Walt Disney World. (There’s still time for you to attend, now through November 12, 2018.)
But did you know that there are lots of foodie events happening this time of year in and around The City Beautiful? We share five of our favorites, sure to appeal to the gastronomically inclined traveler, taking place this fall in Orlando.
Daily Through November 6, 2018: WonderFall Flavors at Disney Springs
Disney Springs, the destination shopping, dining and entertainment district, is replete with autumn colors currently, as it celebrates the flavors of fall with this special event. Guests can pick up a pocket-sized guide with a handy list of all participating locations throughout the neighborhoods of the Springs.
Imbibe with a fun, fall-themed drink crawl as you sample cocktails such as the Apple Cider Whiskey Sour at The Polite Pig, or the Pumpkin White Russian at Enzo’s Hideaway. There are dishes, too, ranging from the Bavarian Roasted Pork Shanks at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, to the indulgent Pumpkin Creme Brulee tart at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant, with lots of others to discover in between.
A handy, numbered map in the guide helps you to find the locations as you wander hungrily from place to place. Take a few friends, and sample them all over a couple of weekends!
Weekends Through November 11: Food and Wine Weekends at Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
Created as a companion piece to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, Food and Wine Weekends at Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek celebrate fine wine, culinary artistry and good times with friends. Guests can choose from a wide range of experiences, like “The Taste of” dinners at the resorts’ top restaurants, including Bull & Bear, La Luce and Zeta Asia. Or take your own skills to the next level with complimentary classes and demonstrations, such as Cocktail Creations and La Pâtisserie: Master Pastry Class. Other indulgences include Bar du Chocolat, open to guests each Saturday evening in the hotel’s beautiful Peacock Alley, and offering a delicious array of a la carte chocolate treats, handcrafted by the Waldorf Astoria pastry chefs.

October 26: Homestead Harvest at Whisper Creek Farm at Grande Lakes
Tapping into Orlando’s desire to eat well while doing good, the Second Annual Homestead Harvest dinner takes place at Whisper Creek Farm, located at Grande Lakes. Guests can meander through Whisper Creek Farm and experience a myriad of tasting stations with creations by top chefs, including Iron Chef participant Todd Richards, Norman Van Aken, Brandon McGlammery, Kevin Fonzo, and many more. Expertly paired beer, wine and cocktails will also be on offer, as guests enjoy live music under the stars.

October 26-27: Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic
This incredibly popular event, taking place over one weekend, is back for the ninth year in a row. Get your fill of flavors along the Causeway grand tasting, where tents showcase delicious dishes from each of the Swan and Dolphin’s restaurants.
In addition to the tents, the event has grown over the years to include a collection of fantastically themed areas, including Carnival Corner, Chinatown and The Bubble Lounge, all with plenty to eat and drink. New in 2018, guests can also experience The Pig and the Poke beachside, where luau-inspired flavors and a South Pacific vibe. Upgrade your Causeway ticket to include access to the Beer Garden, where you can indulge in additional dishes as well as local craft and seasonal beers. Also new for this year, live music performances in the various themed areas add to the ambiance. November 3: Cows ‘n Cabs
As one of Central Florida’s largest culinary philanthropic events this grand tasting, created by 4R Restaurant Group, returns for its seventh year. The food and wine stroll will feature more than 25 area restaurants, plus wine, craft beer and spirits.
Critically-acclaimed country singer Angie Keilhauer will perform her “beach-friendly country and roots rock” at the event, which takes place in Winter Park’s West Meadow. Proceeds benefit After School All-Stars Orlando and Elevate Orlando. Visit the website to learn more and purchase tickets.
