Star Wars Celebration Day Four

The final day of Star Wars Celebration offered guests new updates and an announcement for Star Wars Celebration 2023.

Day Four of Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center ended with as much fanfare as it began. We had the chance to see the last day and cover the event with media access. The first panel of the day was for “The Bad Batch,” one of the animated series on Disney Plus. Fans had the chance to hear from voice actors from the series, Dee Bradley Baker and Michelle Ang, while listening for updates on the show’s upcoming season two.

The Exhibit Hall was still packed with visitors getting their final photos at the numerous photo ops and making their last purchases at booths like Loungefly and Funko for convention specials and exclusive items.

The cosplay game was still strong on Day Four, with fans showing off some of their best pieces on the final day. We got a glimpse of a fully functional porg costume as cosplayers posed for photos with attendees.

One of the guests of honor, Ashley Eckstein (the voice of Ahsoka Tano in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), hosted “Star Wars Mindful Matters With Ashley Eckstein” on the Star Wars Kids Stage for the third time during Star Wars Celebration. Eckstein led young “padawans” through several exercises, including breathing sessions and “Wookiee Roars.” Fans who weren’t able to catch any of her sessions in person can find them on her Instagram

The day ended with an exclusive viewing of “The Siege of Mandalore,” the final four episodes of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.” The session included a special discussion with creator Dave Filoni. Filoni made an appearance on the Celebration Live Stage prior to the viewing and gave fans a glimpse into his work.

“It’s been very busy, but honestly, I love what I do. I work with great people, and the combination of those two things, when you can get it in life, is so wonderful. Whether it’s working with the animation team on “The Bad Batch” or “Tales of the Jedi,” whether it’s working with Jon on “Obi-Wan” or “The Mandalorian,” or continuing Ahsoka’s story, which I’ve been doing now for 18 years, it’s super fun,” he told fans.

The final panel of the day was the Star Wars Celebration Closing Ceremony. Attendees at The Celebration Stage, The Galaxy Stage and The Twin Suns Stage saw a recap video of the weekend that celebrated the cast and the fans at the convention. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” star Rupert Friend joined the emcee on The Celebration Stage to announce Star Wars Celebration 2023 along with its dates and location. Star Wars Celebration Europe will take place in London from April 7-10, 2023.
