Explore New Orleans

Things to Do in New Orleans: Outdoor Adventures

The plane ride, the taxi drive, the elevator ascent to the hotel room. The confines of travel can often make it feel as though the world is boxing you in. The solution: Unpack, unwind, get out and get active.

Sure, New Orleans is famed for its overindulgence and laissez faire attitude, but there is also a healthy side to the city and numerous ways in which to explore it. The Crescent City lives up to Louisiana’s “Sportman’s Paradise” moniker with near endless options for outdoor fun. One word of advice before heading into the great outdoors: hydrate. And we don’t mean with Hurricane cocktails or “Huge Ass” beers. Water—and lots of it—is the best way to combat New Orleans’ sultry summers (springs and falls) and high humidity.

Now, on your mark, get set—go!
