Halloween just got a little spookier for "Stranger Things" fans—Hawkins National Laboratory, the focus of Netflix's popular series—takes over South Broadway's Headquarters Beercade for one glorious month (Oct. 10-Nov. 3). While we can't guarantee that you'll run into Sheriff Hopper or any of Hawkins' kids, you will be able to get to The Upside Down and enjoy a decadent menu of cocktails along the way.
In keeping with the show, everything about this pop-up is over-the-top: Visit the Byers family living room, where 200 feet of Christmas light are used to decipher messages from The Upside Down, or Steve Harrington's pool, where Barb met her untimely demise. Only the brave should venture to Headquarters Beercade's second floor—you'll know you've ventured into The Upside Down when you come upon 1,000 feet of mysterious overgrowth and a life-sized demogorgon.
Speaking of demogorgons, the pop-up's cocktail list begins with the De-Marg-organ, a spin on a margarita with scarlet hibiscus-infused tequila and garnished with a blue-salt rim and the head of a demogorgon. Additional cocktails include Eleven, made with peach-infused bourbon-maple syrup and garnished with mini Eggo waffles; The Mindflayer, concocted from a house-made apple-cinnamon Jameson, cranberry juice and apple cider; and The Pumpkin Patch, a pumpkin-spiced colada with dark and spiced rum.
Be sure to keep your schedule free for these fun-filled events: "Stranger Things" trivia (Oct. 17), "Stranger Things" bingo (Oct. 23) and multiple Halloween costume prize events (Oct. 25, 26 and 31).
