Airbnb launched Moscow Trips, allowing travelers to book excursions led by local experts along with accommodations rentals. It's the first Russian city to host the vacation rental site's new feature.
Trips combine the familiar hospitality booking with local-led experiences and the ability to quickly find local places and events while on the go. The addition of Trips in Moscow means more than 25 crafted, local-led experiences that are either single-day events or immersive endeavors covering several days.
Experiences include passing through the vaults of the Russian State Library to peruse books censored by the Soviets and the royal family's personal book collection. Another offering is a tour of the best crab burgers and local organic food shops in town and another covers local wine.
Airbnb's Trips feature launched in November 2016 with more than 50 excursions available in 12 major cities. Peruse the offerings under the app's "Experiences" tab.
