Penguins at Phillip Island (©Phillip Island Nature Park)
Watching the colony of little penguins waddling ashore on Summerland Beach in Phillip Island Nature Park at sunset and making their way to their burrows after a day’s fishing is a delight. There are several ways to see the penguins including the advanced eco-accredited Ultimate Penguin Tour which sees up to 10 participants and one of the park’s rangers watch the penguins from a secluded beach. Other attractions include the Nobbies Centre, featuring interactive seal viewing via state-of-the-art technology on large plasma screens; Koala Conservation Centre, home to a koala colony; and historic Churchill Island Heritage Farm. The Nature Park also features displays, cafés and various gift shops.
