Despite the significant heat in the summer month, the extended daylight hours and warm weather still draw visitors and locals outdoors and away from home. This summer, there’s, even more to enjoy now that restrictions are almost completely removed around Las Vegas. We’ve rounded up some fun activities for these hot summer days, with exclusive offerings and local specials on and off the Las Vegas Strip!
Las Vegas Summer Specials
Summer Spa Specials
Through August 31, Spa Aqua at JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa has exclusive summer specials for some warm weather relaxation. Visitors can enjoy an 80-minute “Sweet Mandarin Body Gommage” (priced at $209), a 50-minute “Vitamin C Facial” (priced at $159) or a 50-minute “Mindful Pedicure” (priced at $65). Spa Aquae recently debuted renovations and new treatments.
The Spa at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has numerous summer treatments through August 31. Guests can enjoy a “Thirst Quenching Spa Package” that includes a massage, facial and lip treatment for $285. A “Coconut Mojito Body Scrub” is also available with a coconut water mojito for $95.
Every Friday through September 23, fitness enthusiasts can enjoy select classes at the Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The first and third Friday of each month will feature Poolside Mat HIIT, while the second and fourth Friday of each month features Yin Yoga. Guests can enjoy the stunning Strip view each morning at 7 a.m. with their class for only $25 per person (this includes a mat, towel and water). Anyone can register for the experiences online here. The glass doors to the Boulevard Pool are open from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. on class days; however, if the doors are not unlocked, make sure to contact security by calling the hotel at (702) 698-7000 to ensure you don’t miss any of the experience.
We were invited to check out one of the classes and thoroughly enjoyed the yoga class. It was easy to follow, and the view of the Strip was beautiful. Bring sunblock and sunglasses as the summer sun makes the last few minutes of class a bit warm and bright as the sun comes up over the resorts opposite The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The class is designed for all fitness levels (physical and mental) with numerous modifications for the yoga poses, so don't be concerned if you don't regularly practice yoga.
Enjoy the outdoor temperatures every Monday at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.) with Dive In Movies at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Through September 12, the poolside movie nights are set to feature movie-themed cocktails, a fun outdoor experience (with a range of classics like “The Breakfast Club” to action-packed blockbusters like “Black Widow” and family-friendly films like “Encanto) and a stunning view of the Las Vegas Strip. Movies will be shown on the 65-foot digital marquee, and tickets can be booked here.
Topgolf has numerous options for families this summer. We were invited in for a hosted media visit to check out new menu items, and get a look at all the fun summer specials. With four floors of activities, there’s something for everyone. Locals can take advantage of the 25% off Game Play offering just for Nevada locals (it’s available all year long). If you’re not a local, you can still enjoy a discounted summer Game Play pass through August 31 with unlimited play Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Summer Fun Passes are priced at $249 and include numerous discounts onsite.
Fantasy Football packages are available in various sizes with options for 12-16 people or a VIP experience for up to 25 people in the Hublot Chairman’s Suite. The Hideaway Pool is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for anyone 21 and over (reservations not required for entry; only required for cabana rentals). The food and beverage menu at Topgolf has several new menu items, including a “Chicken & Biscuit Sandwich” and a “Frozen Spiked Lemonade.”
Las Vegas Natural History Museum has a fun new exhibit on display through September 10. “Da Vinci Machines & Robotics” brings some of the most exciting inventions of Leonardo da Vinci to Las Vegas from the exhibit’s home in Florence, Italy. Part of the Engelstad Foundation Traveling Exhibition Series, the display features over 60 of Leonardo da Vinci’s machines and art.
Stadium Swim at Circa Resort & Casino has a fun Rosé Garden pop-up in July and August on the last Sunday of each month. We were invited in to check out the pop-up and its Instagrammable setup and enjoy a pool day in a hosted cabana. In partnership with Moët Hennessy, the event offers bottomless rosé from noon to 4 p.m. for ladies, along with photo ops, rosé pong and giveaways. RSVP in advance for complimentary admission and unlimited servings of The Palm by Whispering Angel for two hours. Walk-ups are accepted but will incur a $35 fee on top of the general admission price at Stadium Swim. If you’re visiting with a group for a girl’s day out, consider renting a cabana for an elevated experience, fun eats (we loved the lobster corn dogs), and some much-needed shade.
Rail Explorers is giving guests a new way to enjoy Boulder City. All tours through September 5 come with an exclusive red rider wristband. Guests can show the wristband at various Boulder City locations for special discounts, including 10% off at Chilly Jilly’z and Soda At The Nest, 10% off at Evolution Expeditions (when booked at BC Adventure Co.), Happy Hour pricing at Beer Zombies, and many more fun discounts around Boulder City.
This summer, Evolution Expeditions is making it easier for locals to get out on the water. The “Beat the Heat” special is available to local residents this summer with $25 off the Kayak Emerald Cave Express tour on Thursdays to cover admission to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The tour offers three hours of gorgeous views starting at Willow Beach and gives guests some history along with the experience.
