The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located just a few miles west of Las Vegas and encompasses 195,819 acres within the Mojave Desert. Red Rock Canyon is an area of worldwide geologic interest and beauty with more than 30 miles of hiking trails, accessible off the 13-mile scenic loop road that takes you through the canyon. Vehicular access daily. All cars receive an area map upon entry; stop at the Visitor’s Center for more information. Picnic areas and restrooms are available.
Beginning November 3, 2020, the Bureau of Land Management requires reservations for entry to the Scenic Drive between 8am and 5pm though May 31, 2021. Timed Entry reservations are available online, along with entry passes, and visitors with annual passes can enter their pass number at checkout. Reservations are still required on "fee free days" for entrance between 8am and 5pm.
