I love how a stack of pancakes demands our attention. It is impossible to eat them on the go, nor can you walk by a stack without sitting down to savor them. The pancakes in Las Vegas are just so flippin’ delicious and versatile. They can be made topped with fruit or stuffed with bacon. Smother them in maple syrup and butter or berries and whipped cream—any option you choose, they are delicious.

In Nataly Koagan’s TEDTalk, “How Pancakes Can Make You Happier and Change the World,” she explains that the key to happiness lies in collecting small happy moments daily. Making pancakes and sharing them can ultimately lead to great joy. Flip Flip Hooray, we are all about spreading joy! The Kitchen at Commons Club at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas
The Kitchen at Commons Club is an American eatery with a tinge of British fare influences. Located at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, the eatery is open 24/7, perfect for early morning or late night pancake cravings. On the menu is the “Buttermilk Pancake” served with powdered sugar dusted on top with caramel and pecan cream. Take the pancake to the sweeter side by adding your choice of either blueberries, bananas or chocolate chips.
The Kitchen at Commons Club also serves the “Dutch Baby Pancake.” This hearty pancake serves two and comes topped with smoked salmon, a sunny-side-up egg, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, Crème Fraiche, capers and frisèe. We leave it up to you if you want to share.
Sweet Talk Las Vegas
Sweet Talk serves Japanese Souffle pancakes, which take the word fluffy to new heights. These pancakes are pillowy soft yet airy like a soufflé. When these pancakes are created, the egg whites are separated from the yolk, beaten until stiff and then folded into the batter. The souffle pancakes become extra fluffy because the air bubbles from the egg whites hold the shape in the pancake batter. The pancakes almost sound as if they are speaking to you with the fizzy sound they make when you cut into them. Sweet Talk has Japanese Souffle pancakes in delicious flavors like the “Ube Souffle,” Chocolate” and Matcha.
Siegel’s Bagelmania has a huge assortment of bagels and pastries as well as deli sandwiches and an expanded breakfast menu. The selection of pancakes includes the classic “London’s Delicious Pancakes,” served with butter and warm maple syrup. The “Pretty in Pink Pancakes” feature three pink velvet pancakes drizzled with cream cheese icing, pink sprinkles and warm maple syrup and topped with Pinkbox’s Pretty in Pink Doughnut. The Maple Bacon DoughCro® Pancakes include a Pinkbox Porky Face DoughCro® stacked on three banana pancakes topped with crispy bacon, powdered sugar and warm maple syrup. We love the collaboration with Pinkbox to make the pancakes extra special.
Although BabyStacks serves a wide array of breakfast fare, most people come here for the delicious pancakes. Locals have been enjoying the restaurant’s stacks for over ten years. BabyStacks is serious about pancakes with over 20 different varieties on the menu. You would be hard-pressed not to find one to your liking. In addition to the classic pancakes available in stacks of three or six, unique pancake flavors include “Banana Foster,” “Lemon Ricotta” and “Orange Creamsicle.”
Biscuits and Bourbon
Biscuits and Bourbon is locally owned and operated and located in the Water Street District in Downtown Henderson. The menu includes sandwiches, smoked meats, and adult beverages, including bourbon. The restaurant is family-friendly, serving breakfast items every day from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The “Biscuits and Bourbon Classic Stack Pancakes” are buttermilk pancakes made from scratch—they are fluffy and full of flavor with butter and maple syrup. If you are feeling extra, take it up a level by adding one of three toppings: bourbon apple compote and caramel topping, orange macerated strawberries and Nutella or apple cider caramel butter. Extra is always a good thing when it comes to pancakes.
Local favorite Honey Salt is a fabulous farm-to-table restaurant in Summerlin. The ambiance is family-friendly, and the food tastes like the ultimate comfort food made by grandma. Every menu item is made with locally and regionally sourced ingredients. Eating pancakes here is almost like having them at your family dining table. The “Dutch Pancake” is served in a skillet and sprinkled with powdered sugar. It is topped with peaches, almond granola and whipped cream with Vermont maple syrup and butter served on the side. It is big enough to share, but we are pretty sure you won’t want to do so after the first bite.
Griddlecakes is another locals’ favorite that has been around since 1991. The restaurant serves a full menu of sandwiches, burgers, wraps and salads, but is most famous for breakfast dishes, including pancakes. Build your own pancake or choose from the menu of creative concoctions like “Monkey Business.” These peanut butter pancakes deserve some attention with delicious bananas on top, walnuts and whipped cream. A customer favorite is the “Blue Jay.” These are lemon blueberry pancakes topped with whipped cream and blueberry compote. You can find these delicious pancakes at the three Griddlecakes locations around town.
