Donut Day has to be one of our favorite food holidays (it’s on June 4th). While we certainly have nothing against great donut chains, in Las Vegas, local is definitely the way to go.
Celebrate Donut Day Vegas Style
With unique flavors and specials, there’s a donut for every craving! Check out this list of five local favorite donut shops in Las Vegas.
Carl’s Donuts Bakery & Cafe
While Carl’s Donuts Bakery & Cafe is still relatively new to Las Vegas, the original Carl’s Donuts has been around since 1966. The company is still family-owned and operated to this day and serves up some of the most delicious treats in town. Inside the cafe, you’ll find classic donuts along with fancier concoctions like the “Cannoli Old Fashioned.” In addition to donuts, the bakery serves pastries like danishes, croissants, and quiches.
Perhaps the most famous local donuts in the Las Vegas Valley are Pinkbox Doughnuts (we know you’ve seen those boxes all over town). With four locations around town (and more to come, for sure), these are possibly the most accessible local donuts as well. While you can undoubtedly find classic tastes here, fun flavors like the “Key West” and the “Big Samoan” are big hits. Monthly flavors are worth at least a monthly visit, and their holiday and limited edition pieces are worth a trip as well.
Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets
If you’re looking for the prettiest donuts in town, Saint Honoré has several for your Instagram feed. While you’ll still find traditional pieces at this lovely location, the “Couture Doughnuts” and fluffy beignets are the real reason to stop by Saint Honoré. The Raspberry Beret is one of their top sellers, and with good reason—this donut is as delicious as it is stunning. Be sure to stop by for some of the prettiest holiday and seasonal pieces as well—you can even have custom donuts made here.
Hailing from San Diego, Donut Bar made a second home in Downtown Las Vegas years ago and has been a local favorite ever since. With four to five vegan options daily (including the below “Strawberry Split”), Donut Bar caters to multiple audiences. Outrageous flavors include their made-to-order “Grilled Cheese Donuts” and their “Big Poppa Tart” with a whole strawberry Pop-Tart buried inside.
The newest on our list, Wicked Donuts, arrived last fall in the Summerlin area. Here, you’ll find offerings that range from traditional donuts to colorful, fancy pieces (like the “Blue Suede Banana PB and Banana Filling”) and even varieties for vegan and gluten-free donut lovers. It’s impossible to miss the stunning rockabilly-themed custom donut boxes, too- they’re a work of art in themselves!
