Pops for Champagne

This legendary champagne bar in River North’s Tree Studios boasts a world-class selection of 140 champagnes plus an extensive list of fine wines, spirits, cognacs and beer. The small plates menu includes regional cheeses and sliced meats, oysters, crispy pork, ricotta gnocchi and more. Live music with no cover Su-Tu at 9 pm.

Enjoy 360° panoramic views of Chicago’s skyline from the 70th floor of Lake Point Tower. Menu items include steaks and chops, seafood, pasta, lamb, poultry and escargot, with specialty flambé desserts as a finale. Reservations recommended. Valet parking. D (daily).

Geja's Cafe

Romantic fondue dining and nightly flamenco and classical guitar music have drawn diners to this cozy subterranean restaurant since 1965. Entrée fondues include vegetables, shrimp, scallops, lobster, chicken and beef in various combinations. Large wine list. D (daily).

Noble Horse Carriage Rides

Take a scenic tour through Chicago’s neighborhoods in a closed or open horse-drawn carriage. Drivers can tailor tours according to passengers’ interests. Reservations accepted but not necessary. Offered daily 6:30 pm-midnight.

This buzzing Nuevo Latino eatery is done up with sultry sheer curtains and lush greenery and features plates like pulled chicken taquitos and grilled smoked pork tenderloin with adobado salsa as well as an extensive array of creative cocktails.

The Green Mill

Al Capone once frequented this former 1920s speakeasy, which has been restored to its art deco splendor and features great local jazz musicians in a hip atmosphere. Sunday nights feature the world-renowned Uptown Poetry Slam. Open M-F noon-4 am, Sa noon-5 am, Su 11 am-4 am. Cover charge $4-$15.
