Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute

Opened in 1955, this fascinating art museum features intimate galleries. Widely respected, the Clark fosters a center for art history research and its collections focus on European and American painting—including the French Impressionist movement—sculpture and decorative art from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. Admission: $15 June-October, free November-May and ages 18 and under. July-August, open daily 10 am-5 pm. September-June, open Tu-Su 10 am-5 pm.
