Perfect Day in Boston: Singer Lucas Cortazio Gives Us His

Sightsee between meals using this custom itinerary from the Tales of Olde band member

We asked Lucas Cortazio (read more about him in our interview, here), frontman of Boston band Tales of Olde, to take us out on the town for a day, and he obliged. The Brazil-born singer met his wife (band member Evelyn Cortazio)—and had three kids—in this city, and says “I loved Boston from the get-go.”

9:30 am: First Things, First

Grab coffee and breakfast at Pavement Coffeehouse on Boylston Street. "I love, love, love Pavement. The Spanish latte is to die for, and the Sunrise sandwich. I’m good to go."

10:30 am: Relax Outside

"In nice weather, head to the Public Garden and Boston Common to read a little bit, and maybe smoke a pipe. We’ve done that a few times with some friends."

12 pm: Back Bay for Lunch

"Grab lunch at Towne Stove & Spirits, an amazing place. They have great food, but also great atmosphere."

Next up is Fenway Park to catch a Red Sox game (if there is one). "I love eating, so obviously I’m going to have some brats. Stuff my face with brats and beer."

4 pm: Exercise on the Esplanade

"Let's head to the Esplanade and walk off some of the food we just ate. Maybe there is something playing at the Hatch Shell."

6:30 pm: Brazilian Buffet

"For dinner, we go to my favorite restaurant in Boston. I take everyone to Fogo de Chao at Copley Square. It’s an amazing Brazilian—and, obviously, I’m biased—steak house. Oh man. It’s one of my favorite spots."
