For Art’s Sake

Thirty-plus works by Max Weber and the artists who influenced him make up one of the newest Baltimore Museum of Art exhibitions, Max Weber: Bringing Paris to New York. Weber painted “The Apollo in Matisse’s Studio” (1908, shown) after visiting his mentor Henri Matisse.

The BMA, a 10-building complex with sculpture gardens and a new contemporary wing (starring Warhol), charges no admission.
