New Year's Countdown in Atlanta

The holiday season culminates with New Year’s Eve, with no shortage of fun to be found. Stop by Hampton + Hudson for brunch or lunch and watch college football on the big screens. From 5-11 pm, the restaurant will be offering an exclusive NYE dinner menu. Beginning at 8 pm, the 1920s-themed party will feature a DJ and drink specials, transitioning into party mode as midnight approaches.

If dancing the night away until the ball drops is your style, Whiskey Blue, the rooftop bar at the W Atlanta Buckhead, has a party for you. The evening starts at 9 pm and features drinks, dancing and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The Battery, with bars that offer their own festivities, also has a Late Innings celebration, which includes live performances, fireworks over the SunTrust Park and confetti throughout the plaza.

There are low-key celebrations to partake in, as well. Mission + Market in Buckhead has a prix fixe menu, while perennial favorite TWO urban licks off the BeltLine combines top-notch food with live music and a balloon drop at midnight. TWO will also be open the evening of New Year’s Day.

Whatever you do this holiday season, make sure to take a moment to enjoy the festivities. They’re over in a blink of an eye and before you know it, it will be a whole year until they’re back.
