The Arc of the Capital Area

The Arc offers support services for families with developmentally disabled members. Those programs include the following: Pilot Parent, providing support groups and other assistance for families of children with disabilities such as spina bifida, autism, cerebral palsy, or mental retardation; Project Chance, working with developmentally disabled juveniles and adults who have been involved with the criminal justice program; Community Advocacy Services, matching volunteers one on one with developmentally disabled adults living in the community or at Austin State School; and Community Living Assistance and Support Services, helping many individuals who might be forced by their disabilities to live in institutional settings.
