Ash Meadows Wildlife Refuge

Contains 22,000 acres of spring-fed wetlands and alkaline desert uplands managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The refuge provides habitat for at least 24 plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. Walk the Crystal Springs Interpretive Boardwalk Trail, enjoy a picnic and engage in some wildlife watching here. Visitor’s office open M-F, 8 am-4 pm. Free.
